The Camphill School

Since 1963, The Camphill School in Glenmoore has taught children and youth with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including students with autism, Down syndrome and traumatic brain injury. We are a Waldorf school, accredited by AWSNA and the Middle States Association, licensed by the Pennsylvania Departments of Education and Public Welfare, and part of the worldwide Camphill movement.

Our Beaver Run campus on Fairview Road holds our lower, middle and high schools for grades 1 to 12, along with the Meadowsweet Waldorf early childhood program. Students take a functional life skills program built around hands-on learning, prevocational skills and therapeutic care, with arts, music and movement woven through. Each student works with both a class teacher and a daily living skills teacher. Families can choose day or boarding placements, and boarding students live in campus homes with house parents and long-term volunteers.

Young adults ages 18 to 22 continue in our Transition Program at Beaver Farm in Phoenixville, a 130-acre working farm where students grow organic produce, tend livestock, run the Foxfield Flowers cut-flower business and cook daily meals in a commercial kitchen. District or private funding can cover tuition.
