Dew Drops Learning Center is a small, home-based preschool in Coos Bay for children ages 3 to 6, close to Bay Area Hospital and North Bend Medical Center. We are open Monday to Thursday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Learning here happens through play. Each day mixes social emotional learning, arts and crafts, imaginative play, and math and literacy activities, with steady structure and routines that get children ready for primary school. Lesson plans are adjusted to what each child needs, and encouragement stays positive. Our head teacher and owner has more than 14 years in Oregon public schools, including seven and a half years with the Coos Bay School District, and a background in special education, reading intervention and social emotional learning. An educational assistant with several years of part-time child care experience works alongside her.
