Hawk Meadow Montessori School

Abilities First School at LaGrange in Poughkeepsie serves ages 5–21 with intellectual or developmental disabilities, autism, Down syndrome, or cerebral palsy. Students receive academic instruction and can access speech-language, occupational, and physical therapy, adaptive communication and physical education, and transition services. Older students use those transition services to prepare for life beyond school.

Community Nursery School has supported preschool families in Poughkeepsie since 1964. Our classes are designed for children from age 2 through 4 or 5, with developmentally appropriate learning and kindergarten readiness as central goals.
