Puzzles

Puzzles is a neurodiversity-affirming learning center in Astoria, with a second location in Port Washington, serving children from 6 months to 9 years old. Many of our classes are roughly half neurotypical and half neurodiverse children, and our educators use a multi-sensory, child-led approach built around social play.

Our Preschool Prep Program meets Monday through Friday in Astoria for children ages 2 to 4 in small, inclusive groups. Children practice classroom routines, circle time, and turn-taking, build early literacy and math skills, and work on fine motor skills such as pencil grip and cutting, along with gross motor play through dance and music. Our educators collaborate with speech-language pathologists and occupational therapists when appropriate.

We also offer social skills classes and enrichment classes in art, cooking, Snapology STEM and LEGO learning, soccer, and chess. Our speech-language pathologists and occupational therapists provide private therapy sessions, and our staff offers IEP consultations to help families review goals, progress, and accommodations before IEP meetings.
