Prince of Peace Preschool - Clinton

Catholic education in Clinton dates to 1852, when the first school opened in a church basement. Prince of Peace Catholic School continues that tradition on one campus serving preschool through 12th grade near the Mississippi River. Students come to us from five Iowa districts and several Illinois towns, and families of all faiths are welcome. Our K-12 program is accredited by Cognia and the Iowa Department of Education, and every student has a laptop. Daily religion classes and regular liturgies are part of each grade. Elementary students use a computer lab and pair with older students through a buddy program, and band, chorus and drama start in middle school. High school courses are college preparatory, with Advanced Placement and college credit options, speech, art, Quiz Bowl and National Honor Society. Irish teams compete in the Tri Rivers Athletic Conference, adding sports such as football and swimming through cooperative agreements. Our 4-year-old preschool uses Creative Curriculum and is free for most Iowa residents, and licensed childcare for infants to age 5 is available 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Families can use STO scholarships and Iowa Education Savings Accounts.
