About Muscatine High School
Muscatine High School is the public high school for the Muscatine Community School District, on Cedar Street in Muscatine, Iowa. Our students are the Muskies, and our campus includes a STEM wing and the Van Hecke Center.
Students can earn college credit before graduation through more than 20 Advanced Placement courses and more than 20 concurrent enrollment courses, and over 450 students take college credit classes. Juniors and seniors can choose from 10 career academies, including IT networking for systems and security and advanced manufacturing, and we offer internships with local employers. The Muscatine Agriculture Learning Center, run with the Friends of Muscatine FFA and Eastern Iowa Community Colleges, gives students hands-on agriculture education.
We offer more than 55 clubs and activities, among them robotics, mock trial, Model United Nations, speech and debate, Key Club, Chinese Club, Unidos and student newspaper. Musicians join marching band, choir or orchestra. Muskie athletes compete in football, volleyball, swimming and diving, cross country, tennis, golf, basketball, wrestling, bowling, soccer, track, softball and baseball, with pom and cheer squads.
