Southside Christian Child Care and Preschool

Southside Christian Child Care and Preschool has cared for families in Louisville and Southern Indiana since 1980, and our Springdale Drive center in Jeffersonville is one of two Indiana locations. We enroll babies from 6 weeks old and school-age children up to 12, and the center holds a Level 3 rating in Indiana's Paths to QUALITY system for planned curriculum and school readiness.

Babies start in our Little Dippers nursery with individually labeled cribs and bottles, then move through Big Dippers toddlers, the Twinkling Stars and Shining Stars two-year-old rooms, Shooting Stars for threes and Super Stars pre-kindergarten. Teachers use the High Reach Learning curriculum, mixing learning centers, free choice and structured lessons, and we teach sign language from infancy through preschool. School-age children come for homework help and activities after school.

We serve balanced meals and snacks from a posted monthly menu, and every center has a fenced playground with a separate infant and toddler play area. Children attend chapel each week. Teachers train throughout the year, most hold CPR and first aid certification, and all staff pass background checks. Families receive daily notes, monthly newsletters and posted lesson plans.
