Grundy County Special Ed Co-Op (Door #3)

Grundy County Special Education Cooperative's River's Edge Academy serves students in kindergarten through grade 12 at 725 School Street in Morris, Illinois. The program builds academic, social, and functional skills through specialized instruction and therapeutic support. Staff work with member districts and families to address each student's learning, behavioral, communication, and adaptive needs. Students practice skills they use at school, in the community, and as adults. River's Edge gives students who need a focused setting a place to strengthen communication, build daily living skills, and work toward greater independence. The cooperative organizes special education programs and services for Grundy County districts, with specialized personnel who work across member programs. Its mission prepares students with disabilities to participate as fully as possible in society through specialized instruction and support. Families and school teams can work with the cooperative to discuss a student's goals, placement, and next steps.
