Ben Bronz Academy

Futures School in West Hartford is Connecticut's first community-based special education school, serving students aged 14 to 22 with cognitive or developmental disabilities and challenging behaviors. Classroom instruction is paired with community-based activities that build toward post-secondary education, employment, life skills, and independent living goals. The curriculum includes a transition program, fine arts, a summer trades program, animal therapy, technology, Explore Connecticut, Bakery Bootcamp, and musical arts. Futures is also a qualified provider for the Connecticut Department of Developmental Services and the Connecticut Department of Social Services, with an adult day program and a range of vocational and residential supports, and it runs social enterprises that help individuals with disabilities launch micro-businesses.

Intensive Education Academy (IEA) is a specialized educational institution dedicated to unlocking the potential of exceptional learners, particularly those with diverse learning needs. ACES Educational Center for the Arts, at 55 Audubon Street in New Haven's Audubon Arts District, is a public, half-time magnet high school run by Area Cooperative Educational Services. We serve students from the 25 school districts in south central Connecticut and beyond. Our students study music, dance, theatre, creative writing, or visual arts alongside practicing artists, and our arts program includes multicultural and global citizenship education.
