Play-based learning TK and kindergarten readiness Private school

Learning to Learn has been part of early childhood education in Sonoma County for more than 40 years. Our founders, two educators with teaching degrees, have since passed, and their children now run the schools they built. Our Rohnert Park school on Medical Center Drive cares for children from infancy to age 5 and is open year-round from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with full-time and part-time schedules. Our play-based curriculum covers academic, social, emotional and physical growth, and our older preschoolers prepare for transitional kindergarten and kindergarten through structured learning time, art and outdoor play. Teachers help children name their feelings, talk through conflicts and ask for help when they need it. Many of our teachers and office staff have been with us for years. We enroll year-round, so families often join the waitlist ahead of time. For school-age siblings, our affiliate Redwood Country Kids Club offers before and after-school care for children in TK through 8th grade. We are a state-licensed child care center.

Pathways Charter School

Rohnert Park, CA Grades K-12
Public school

Pathways Charter School gives TK–12 students across Sonoma, Solano, Napa, and Marin counties a free public independent-study option. Its main office occupies Suite C at 150 Professional Center Drive in Rohnert Park; the Rohnert Park Learning Center uses Suites D–F at the same address. Families, students, and credentialed independent-study teachers shape each learning plan together. In TK–5, parents or guardians guide much of the learning at home with teacher support. Students in grades 6–12 take more responsibility and can combine home study with online or learning-center classes. Community-vendor courses, co-ops, field trips, and regional learning centers broaden the options. Pathways also offers reading and math interventions, A–G-approved high-school courses, and concurrent community-college enrollment. When an IEP requires on-site classes, the school can accommodate them.
