DC Everest Junior High School

D.C. Everest Junior High in Weston is the district's single junior high, sitting between its middle school and senior high, and our students start high school level work early, including an AP course for freshmen.

Our curriculum is built around 16 career clusters, with a Global Scholar Program and a Path to UW Schools plan to help students choose coursework with college and careers in mind. A Portrait of a Graduate framework looks at coursework, activities, service and soft skills together. Everest Entrepreneur students partnered with Junior Achievement and Abby Bank to launch a hand-crafted candlestick business, and our DECA student-based enterprise holds gold-level status.

Students with disabilities receive specially designed instruction through the district special education department, including co-teaching in general education classrooms, accommodations and modifications, and vocational training. Free and reduced meals are available to qualifying families.
