Brock’s Academy is a private, one-to-one academy and tutoring service dedicated to partnering with students and families to ignite a natural joy of learning. Founded in 2004 by the Loshbaugh family, the school operates on the 'Designer Education™' model, which customizes curriculum, teaching approaches, and schedules to fit the unique needs of every student. Serving K-12 students in a variety of settings—including in-home, on-campus in Woodinville, or at other community locations—Brock's provides a highly flexible and personalized alternative to traditional classroom environments. The school specializes in supporting students with diverse learning needs, including those with dyslexia, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and school-related anxiety. By offering a one-to-one student-teacher ratio, Brock’s Academy ensures that instruction is tailored to individual academic goals and interests. Brock’s Academy is an OSPI-approved private school and Non-Public Agency (NPA), accredited through Cognia. Dolan Learning Center is a Washington State approved P-12 private school and Non-Public Agency (NPA) located in Woodinville, WA. We serve a diverse population of learners of all abilities, including those with learning differences and disabilities. Operating also as a specialized tutoring center, our mission is to provide the tools for a life of learning while promoting independence, inclusion, and self-advocacy. Our programs are designed to support the overall dignity and welfare of our participants within a supportive and inclusive educational setting. Our instructional model is built on highly individualized, one-to-one sessions that are tailored to meet the specific needs of every student and family. We utilize evidence-based methods such as the Slingerland Approach, which provides structured, sequential, and multisensory literacy instruction. This approach builds independence by strengthening a student's stronger learning channels while reinforcing weaker ones. We also integrate Precision Teaching and Direct Instruction to accelerate skill acquisition and build fluency, ensuring that fundamental academic skills become automatic and mastered efficiently. In addition to academic support, we provide comprehensive early intensive behavior intervention programs grounded in ABA principles and TAGteach (Teaching with Acoustical Guidance). These clinical services allow our staff to pinpoint precise skills and provide immediate, effective positive feedback in a fun and stress-free environment. Our team works to improve fluent performance across academic, organizational, social, and technical domains. Continuous and cumulative assessment ensures that instruction is always responsive to the student's progress and maintenance of concepts. Dolan Learning Center maintains a strong focus on partnership with families, offering flexible schedules that adapt to their unique circumstances. Admissions are accepted year-round on a space-available basis for students from preschool through 12th grade. As an OSPI-approved Non-Public Agency, we work with public school districts to provide services through the state-reimbursed NPA funding model. This allows families and districts to access high-quality, specialized education that empowers students to take control of their learning and thrive.
