Overview

Embrace Learning Institute (ELI) and its ELIvation Schools provide an innovative, student-led approach to education for K-12 learners with diverse learning differences. Serving the Bellevue and Tacoma communities, ELI is dedicated to creating an environment where students are known deeply, challenged meaningfully, and supported individually. The school focuses on building confident thinkers and capable problem-solvers by honoring each student's unique talents and developmental needs rather than forcing them into a traditional one-size-fits-all model.

The instructional model at ELI is grounded in hands-on, project-based learning that integrates movement and sensory supports to maximize engagement and growth. Classrooms are designed to be active and flexible, prioritizing individualized instruction and low-stimulation environments for those who need them. The therapeutic approach is strengths-based and trauma-informed, utilizing evidence-based strategies to support students with diagnoses such as Autism Spectrum Disorders (Level 1 and 2), ADHD, FASD, and various social-emotional or behavioral challenges.

ELI offers distinct program levels tailored to student needs. The Bellevue campus provides Level 1 (standard program with small classes) and Level 2 (standard program with dedicated 1:1 paraprofessional support). The Tacoma campus specializes in Private Individual Support Programs (Level 1PS and 2PS) for students requiring higher levels of structure and supervision outside a traditional classroom. The multidisciplinary team includes special education teachers, Behavior & Educational Support Specialists (B.E.S.S.), and mental health coaches who collaborate with families and district partners.

As an OSPI-approved Non-Public Agency (NPA), ELI partners with school districts to provide individualized educational services through IEP contract placements, in addition to accepting private-pay families. The admissions process is personalized, beginning with a connection to the intake team, followed by a fit review and comprehensive records submission to ensure each student is placed in a thriving environment. ELI maintains a strong commitment to family partnership, fostering a community where families feel supported and students can learn with dignity and purpose.

At Academy for Precision Learning (APL), we believe that every individual possesses a unique set of talents and capabilities. As a K-12 independent school in Seattle, we are dedicated to empowering our students in defining and achieving their aspirations for a fulfilling life. Our community is built on the foundation of celebrating neurodiversity, advocating for individual voices, and promoting agency among our learners. We provide a safe, dynamic, and inclusive environment where neurodiverse students—including those with autism and ADHD—learn alongside their neurotypical peers. Our instructional model is strengths-based and highly individualized, focusing on the social and emotional well-being of our students just as much as their academic success. With small class sizes and a 5:1 student-teacher ratio, we offer an experiential and community-based learning approach that makes education accessible and meaningful. Every student at APL is treated as a partner in their own learning journey, as we work together to identify their passions, motivations, and goals for the future. We uniquely integrate clinical supports directly into the school day. Our classrooms are staffed with talented educators, Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), and Behavior Technicians who provide embedded therapies, including Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and social skills support. This collaborative model ensures that students can access their education while developing the essential skills for independent living. Our comprehensive support services also include counseling and summer programming designed to nurture the whole child. Families choose APL for our warm community and our commitment to high-quality outcomes. We are a Washington State-approved Non-Public Agency (NPA) and partner with over 10 school districts for IEP contract placements. For our high schoolers, the Pathways Program provides a robust framework for post-secondary planning, ensuring students graduate with a state-recognized diploma and a realistic, fulfilling plan for college or transition programs. Whether through district funding, insurance coverage for clinical services, or financial aid, we strive to make our transformative education accessible to all.
