At River’s Edge High School, we personalize learning through an Alternative Learning Experience model. Students, parents and certificated staff plan a Written Student Learning Plan together. Learning can take place partly outside a regular classroom, with weekly staff contact and monthly review. We encourage students to set goals, make choices and reflect on their progress. Authentic work and real-world experiences help students take responsibility for learning and prepare for life after high school.
