About Timberwood Park Elementary School
Timberwood Park Elementary opened in August 2008 as a Comal ISD campus in Bexar County, north of San Antonio. Area parents helped narrow the nominations for our name, and students and families voted for our mascot, the Timberwood Tigers, in red and silver.
Most of our students take part in at least one extracurricular activity each year. Elementary enrichment includes First Lego League Robotics and after-school Community Education programs, and families who need care outside class time can enroll in Comal ISD's School Age Child Care program.
We serve many military-connected students. A campus military liaison helps children settle in after a move, and we connect families with Joint Base San Antonio support, Military OneSource and local veteran services.
