Computer coding, art and project-based work sit alongside core academics and social-emotional learning in our elementary curriculum. We ask scholars at Austin Achieve to create, investigate and apply what they learn. College preparation and the confidence to advocate for themselves guide that work at our tuition-free public charter campus in Pflugerville. Our special services connect classroom learning with special education inclusion, life skills, speech-language pathology and English-language support. Every Austin Achieve school has a speech-language pathologist. A scholar’s educational plan determines the relevant setting: general education with special education support, resource room instruction or inclusion with classroom collaboration. We combine academic expectations with restorative approaches to discipline and support for independent living skills across Austin Achieve. Our social work team provides individual and group scholar counseling, family counseling and referrals as we work with scholars and families on educational support. The elementary and middle-school campus at 1900 East Pfennig Lane has leadership teams for prekindergarten through second grade and third through eighth grade. The prekindergarten-to-second-grade team and the third-to-eighth-grade team lead the respective years at our elementary and middle-school campus.
