AISD Special Education Department

Sixteen themed classrooms, from Ocean and Polar to Savvy's Market and Construction, make up the Dr. Sarah K. Jandrucko Academy for Early Learners, Mansfield ISD's pre-kindergarten campus in Arlington. Each room is built for hands-on exploration, so children might reach into a touch tank in Ocean or piece together an igloo in Polar while building early literacy and numeracy. The classrooms are grouped into four pods: Exploration, Investigation, Interaction and Navigation. Our name honors Dr. Sarah K. Jandrucko, who led the district's early literacy initiative and championed a pre-kindergarten center during 34 years in Mansfield ISD. Pre-K is free for 4-year-olds who meet Texas eligibility criteria, including English learners, children who qualify for free or reduced lunch, and children of active-duty military members. Families who do not qualify can enroll in tuition-based Pre-K. Our staff includes a special education team.

Schelastic Academy is a private school located in Arlington, TX, dedicated to serving students in grades 3 through 12 who require a personalized educational experience.
