About Heritage Baptist Academy - Cordova
Heritage Baptist Academy opened in 1973 on Chelsea Extended in Memphis, and in 2007 our church and school moved together to Cordova. Today we teach children from K3 and K4 preschool through sixth grade in a conservative Christian program that pairs daily Bible instruction with traditional academics.
Our preschool uses a systematic phonics approach, so four-year-olds begin reading real words early, alongside number concepts, drama, nursery rhymes, art and music. In kindergarten through sixth grade, students learn from textbooks by Christian publishers, attend weekly chapel, and study math, language arts, science, social studies and health. Experienced aides assist our teachers in the classroom, and parents are welcome to eat lunch with their children.
Tuition for 2026-27 is $6,350 a year for preschool and $6,500 to $6,625 for the elementary grades, plus fees. We take part in the Tennessee Education Savings Account program for eligible students zoned to Memphis-Shelby County schools, and we are accredited by Cognia, TACS and AACS.
