About The Leffell School
The Leffell School is a K-12 independent Jewish day school with two Westchester campuses totaling 50 acres, and we have been teaching students for 60 years. Our Hartsdale campus on West Hartsdale Avenue is home to the Upper School, grades 6 to 12, and our Lower School for kindergarten through fifth grade meets in White Plains.
Students learn to think, write, and speak in both English and Hebrew through a dual curriculum of general and Judaic studies, and high school students can earn the Global Seal of Biliteracy in Hebrew. Engineering and computer science classes run across all grades, alongside four makerspaces, the Leffell Space Program, Advanced Science Research, and 12 varsity sports teams. Each senior spends eight weeks in Poland and Israel on Lev v'Nefesh.
Our support services team includes learning specialists, enrichment specialists, psychologists, counselors, a speech-language pathologist, and an occupational therapist, and teachers use differentiated instruction with flexible learning groups. Tuition assistance is available, and many families ride free district busing or our fee-based private van and bus service.
