Harmony Heights is a NY Department of Education-approved program and offers a NY State Regents diploma program in a therapeutic special educational setting. For 50 years, Harmony has assisted thousands of girls throughout NY in getting the help they need to heal and recover from serious emotional problems (such as severe anxiety, depression, trauma, and PTSD) that have interfered with or prevented them from benefiting from or attending traditional public schools. Harmony provides therapeutic and educational support systems, including small class sizes; one-on-one, group, and family counseling; parent supports; and pet therapy. Harmony has free tuition and transportation, rolling admission, and students may transfer in at any time of year.

Robert Williams School is a Nassau BOCES middle school program providing an academic setting with a multidisciplinary team for students with learning, behavioral, emotional, and developmental disabilities. Placement is through the home district's Committee on Special Education (CSE) as part of the student's IEP process.
