Bnos Peninim is a school in Brooklyn for girls who face social, emotional, or academic challenges that make a mainstream classroom difficult, including girls with language difficulties. A holistic, skill-based curriculum is taught through multi-sensory and cross-disciplinary methods, with individual attention built into each girl's day. Occupational therapy, physical therapy, and speech-language pathology are provided on site, so students receive their services without leaving the building. Torah and Yiddishkeit stay central throughout, and the aim is to prepare each girl to succeed in a mainstream setting.
