Nevada Connections Academy

Nevada Connections Academy is a statewide online public high school for students in grades 9 to 12, now enrolling new students in grades 9 and 10. Grades 11 and 12 are open to students who completed 10th grade with us the year before. Our Reno office supports families anywhere in Nevada.

Students follow a state-aligned curriculum that mixes teacher-led live lessons with self-guided work, about 30 hours a week, and each student receives a school computer. A parent or caregiver acts as Learning Coach, typically spending one to two hours a day overseeing schoolwork. Our teachers hold Nevada certification and specialize in online instruction, and our school counselors help students set academic goals.

We offer gifted, Advanced Placement and special education programs, credit recovery, NCAA-approved courses, ACT prep for every 11th grader and dual enrollment with a partner college. Students connect through National Honor Society, FBLA, HOSA, Chess Club, E-Sports and Student Council, write for NCA Weekly, and can attend an in-person prom. With local district approval, students may also join sports and band at their neighborhood school.
