About Wayzata Birchview Elementary School

Wayzata Birchview Elementary School, home of the Birchview Bobcats, serves children from preschool through fifth grade on Ranchview Lane in Plymouth as part of Wayzata Public Schools. Our families come from more than 25 countries, and our "pod" classrooms are designed so students can collaborate.

We build our school culture around the 4Cs of Bobcat Pride: community, commitment, compassion, and curiosity. Students spend time learning what Bobcat Pride looks, sounds, and feels like in every setting of the building, and the Bobcat Pride Pledge gives staff and students a shared language.

Our academic program follows the Wayzata elementary curriculum. Students who need extra help receive intervention services, and students ready for more challenge receive enrichment services, including district enrichment and advanced academic placement options in grades 2 to 5. We also provide Section 504 plans, special education services, and support for multilingual learners, and families can tour the school in person or take a virtual tour.
