About North River Edu Collaborative

Serving a diverse population from member districts including Abington, Avon, Bridgewater-Raynham, East Bridgewater, Hanover, Holbrook, Rockland, Stoughton, West Bridgewater, and Whitman-Hanson, NRC aims to enhance the educational experience and outcomes for children with unique learning needs.

NRC offers a variety of specialized programs designed to support students' academic and emotional growth. Key offerings include:

- **Independence Academy:** An alternative multi-service secondary school that addresses substance use and dependence, providing a rigorous academic curriculum alongside recovery support services, health and wellness activities, and partnerships with local community organizations.
- **North River School:** An alternative middle and high school for students in grades 5-12 with social/emotional disorders, focusing on developing essential behavioral, social-emotional, and academic skills to facilitate successful reintegration into their home schools.
- **SAILS Program:** A vocational training initiative that introduces students with unique learning styles to the workforce, offering job skills training at community-based worksites under the guidance of qualified job coaches.
- **Learning Center Programs & District Services:** Comprehensive services including behavior consultation, education services, therapy for visually impaired students, and various therapeutic interventions tailored to meet individual needs.

What sets North River Collaborative apart is its commitment to collaboration among member districts, ensuring that educational services are delivered efficiently and effectively.
