Landmark School

Landmark School opened in 1971 with 40 students and a handful of teachers. Today we are a coed day and boarding school for about 500 students in grades 2 to 12 with dyslexia and related specific learning disabilities, on two coastal campuses in Beverly, Massachusetts, including Prides Crossing, about 30 miles north of Boston. About 200 students in grades 2 to 8 attend our Elementary and Middle School campus, while roughly 300 in grades 9 to 12 attend our High School campus.

Every academic class holds 6 to 8 students, and every student also has structured tutorial, one-on-one or in a small group. Our faculty and staff of 320 are trained specialists in dyslexia. The Landmark language-based learning model pairs explicit structured literacy instruction with executive function skill building, hands-on critical thinking and self-advocacy, woven into reading, writing, listening and expressive language work in every class.

Day students attend from grade 2, and boarding is open to high school students. Outside class, students join athletics, the arts, technical theater, woodshop, clubs and summer programs for elementary, middle and high school students.
