Sunny Montessori (also operating as Sunny Learning Center) is a Montessori preschool at 8615 Fort Smallwood Road in Pasadena, MD, open since 2011. It serves children from 18 months to 5 years across toddler and primary classrooms. Families can choose a full-day program that runs 7:00am to 6:00pm Monday through Friday, or a Class Only option from 8:00am to 11:30am for those who want the academic morning without the extended day. Lunch and snacks are included and served with water, and the site notes safe, free, ample parking on the property. The academic day follows a standard Montessori sequence taught by Montessori-trained teachers, covering Practical Life, Sensorial, Math, Language, Science and Cultural studies, Social Activity, and Art Activity. The school also runs a STEM Club that adds science, technology, engineering, and math work on top of the core Montessori materials. The toddler schedule mixes circle-time group lessons with long blocks of individual work time, plus music and movement, indoor and outdoor play, meals, and an afternoon nap, with teachers checking in on each child's individual needs throughout the day.
