About FOCUS Learning Center
The FOCUS Day Program is a Hamilton Southeastern Schools campus at 18000 Durbin Road in Noblesville. FOCUS stands for Foundation of Characteristics Unique to Success. It serves HSE students in kindergarten through grade 12 who are identified by their home school. Placement is decided by the case conference committee.
Students follow the same academic curriculum and grade-level requirements as their home school. The program works toward a return to that school and graduation with peers. A typical day includes mindfulness practice and weekly clubs such as art, cooking, basketball, chess, and upcycling. Older students also work alongside younger students during the day.
School hours are 8:15 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. Staff listed on the program page include classroom teachers, a speech-language pathologist, an Ascension therapist, a social worker, and a school nurse. Enrollment comes from school referrals.
