About Heritage Mission
Heritage Mission is a nonprofit Christian boarding school in Huntertown for children who have been separated from their families. It is a residential program, not a day school or a clinical special-education campus. Academics cover kindergarten through grade 12, with academic support available through college years.
The program is year-round. The current campus is an 11-acre facility planned for up to 20 residential students. The main building holds classrooms and living spaces. Students share a dining room and help prepare meals. Dorm rooms use bunk beds and assigned storage. Grounds include a playground, tennis court, gardens, a woodworking shop, and a multipurpose building.
Heritage Mission was started by Annette Mains as a small volunteer effort and later moved from a home and church setting to the current campus. Instruction is individualized, with Christian training and tutoring available on campus.
