Northwest Indiana Special Education Cooperative (NISEC) is dedicated to supporting students with disabilities by providing tailored educational experiences that foster self-worth, independence, and optimal functioning. Serving a diverse population of over 3,400 students across seven school districts, NISEC is committed to ensuring that every child receives the support they need to thrive in their educational journey.

NISEC offers a range of specialized programs and services designed to meet the unique needs of students with various disabilities. Key offerings include Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) for behavioral support, Orton-Gillingham for students with language-based learning disabilities, and comprehensive speech and language therapy. Additionally, occupational therapy and social skills groups are available to enhance students' functional abilities and social interactions. The cooperative also provides resources for parents through the Special Education Parent Advisory Council (SEPAC), fostering collaboration and advocacy.

The cooperative boasts a low student-teacher ratio, ensuring personalized attention and support.
