About Bethesda Christian Schools

Bethesda Christian School is a private Christian school in Brownsburg that has served Brownsburg and the west Indianapolis area for more than 50 years. It was founded in 1965. The name Bethesda is used as House of Mercy and House of Grace. Ross Campbell is head of school.

Programs run from preschool through high school. Preschool covers PK3 and PK4, with early literacy, early numeracy, social skills, and Bible stories. Elementary is kindergarten through grade 4. Middle school is grades 5 through 8. High school is grades 9 through 12. Athletics, spiritual life, and fine arts are part of student life.

Brownsburg Early Childhood Center is the public preschool of Brownsburg Community School Corporation. It serves children from age 3, including students who receive special education services and fee-based general education preschool seats. Children can start the week of their third birthday. Classrooms vary by support level. A standard special education classroom holds up to 18 children with one licensed teacher and one support staff member. An intensive classroom holds up to 10 with one licensed teacher and one or two support staff. Children with IEPs can also be served in a general education classroom. Speech, occupational, and physical therapy, plus school therapist services, can be integrated into class or delivered as weekly walk-in appointments. Lessons follow the Indiana Early Learning Foundations, with Handwriting Without Tears, Everyday Math, and We Thinkers. Morning sessions run 8:45 to 11:30 and afternoon sessions 12:55 to 3:40 on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, with shorter Wednesday hours. Special education evaluation is free under Article 7. IEP-specified preschool days and required transportation are covered; extra days are tuition-based.
