Cherokee Classical Christian School meets in the Fellowship Hall at Shoal Creek Baptist Church on Fincher Road in Canton, where we teach kindergarten through fifth grade on a traditional five-day schedule and will add sixth grade in 2027. We are an accredited, nonprofit, ecumenical classical Christian school grounded in the central doctrines of historic Western Christian churches. Our curriculum uses the classical tools of learning, following a Memoria scope and sequence, and Latin is part of the program. Students sit the Classic Learning Test in the elementary grades. The aim is to graduate young men and women equipped spiritually, intellectually and artistically to engage the culture as servants of Christ. Admission begins with a visit to the school, followed by an application through FACTS before March 1. Parents then meet with our head of school while each child is evaluated by a teacher in March and April, and decisions go out by April 15. Financial aid applications are available, and we enroll children from families who support an intentionally Christian education.

Community Christian School, serving the Canton area since 1984, is dedicated to providing a robust academic program within a nurturing and distinctly Christian environment. This institution supports students from kindergarten through eighth grade, including those with various learning needs. The school's mission emphasizes not only academic excellence but also the development of character and faith, ensuring that each child is equipped for future success. At L. R. Tippens Education Center, we serve Cherokee County students from kindergarten through 12th grade who need an individualized therapeutic and behavioral learning environment. Students are placed through their IEP teams when Tippens is determined to be the most appropriate setting. Our multidisciplinary team provides academic, therapeutic, and behavioral supports in a safe, productive school community, with the goal of helping each student build the skills to transition successfully back to their home school. We use a whole-child approach that includes research-based supports and Applied Behavior Analysis. Students develop strategies for communication, self-control, and social-emotional learning while working toward positive, successful participation in their communities. Tippens serves students with autism, emotional and behavioral disorders, intellectual disabilities, and students experiencing mental-health crises. Our student services team includes a school therapist, counselor, and nurse who support students’ emotional, behavioral, educational, and health needs. The school day runs Monday through Friday, with arrival beginning at 7:45 a.m. and dismissal beginning at 2:10 p.m. We are located at 2450 Holly Springs Parkway in Canton, on the former Holly Springs Elementary School site. Cherokee County established the Tippens program in 2010 and renovated the building in 2015 for the program.
