Amazing Explorers Academy Citrus Park, on Westpark Preserve Boulevard in Tampa, enrolls children from 6 weeks to 12 years and is now enrolling for VPK and private kindergarten. Families can apply a Step Up for Students scholarship at this campus. Our director holds a Florida Director's Credential with a VPK endorsement and has more than 25 years in early childhood education. Our STEAM Investigation curriculum draws on Reggio Emilia principles and project-based learning. Enrichment is built into every program at no extra cost: culinary lessons, sports, Spanish, robotics and coding, Zen Zones for mindfulness, and the Amazing Choices healthy-living program developed with Nemours Children's Health. We also teach children how to use AI safely and creatively, rather than relying on AI to teach them. Children ages 5 to 12 attend before and after school care with homework help, STEAM projects and outdoor play, and summer camps follow themes like forensic science and engineering. The building has keypad-controlled entry and live-stream cameras, and the center is DCF licensed. Hours are 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on weekdays.
