About the Center
Developmental Applied Behavior Solutions (DABS) is a trusted provider of ABA therapy in Miami Dade County, offering clinically guided interventions to create positive, lasting, and meaningful change in the life of children and their families. The close-knit senior team includes Clinical Psychologists and Board-Certified Behavioral Analysts overseeing hand-picked Registered Behavioral Technicians. The center delivers ABA therapy in various contexts and settings: while children are playing in the home, learning and socializing in school, or participating in the community. Most ABA therapy is provided on a one-to-one basis, but the center also offers Social Skills groups which deliver the rich benefits of regular contact with peers. The center emphasizes parental involvement and provides ABA training for parents to empower families to reinforce the positive changes they see in their children. Before beginning therapy, the center conducts a detailed assessment to identify areas of greatest need, allowing for planning and implementation of a genuinely bespoke therapy program to deliver maximum benefits. Office hours are Monday-Friday 9AM-5PM.

All three hold master's degrees and are Board Certified Behavior Analysts. The company's goal is to provide the best possible treatment for children and adults who present deficits to adapt to the demands of the school, home, and other social settings, so that they can work on skills that will help them become more independent and successful. Understanding how behavior works in real situations, we aim to increase behaviors that are helpful and adaptive and decrease those that might be hurtful or affect learning. Through carefully constructed individual treatment plans, all clients may show substantial progress in important characteristics of the disorder.

Led by Dr. Penelope Johnson, a BCBA with over 20 years of experience and ADOS-2 examiner credentials, along with María Zambrano, a BCBA with 15+ years in the field. The program mixes highly structured teaching with more flexible, naturalistic learning environments—parents often appreciate this balance. They continuously track each child's progress and adjust programs as needed.
