About the Center
Autism Specialty Group brings over a decade of experience helping children with autism thrive, proudly serving the South Florida community since 2012 and supporting over 1,000 families along the way. The team of experienced, board-certified BCBAs and highly trained therapists delivers evidence-based ABA therapy with NO WAITLISTS, so children can begin receiving care right away. The center offers bilingual services (English and Spanish) to meet the needs of the diverse community and partners with parents and caregivers at every step of the journey. The center provides top-quality ABA therapy tailored to each child and family, focused on improving social, cognitive, and communication skills with positive reinforcement customized to each child's needs. Services are available in-home, in-clinic, and online throughout Miami and South Florida. The center also provides Comprehensive Diagnostic Evaluations (CDEs) at no cost and with no wait for families who are starting ABA therapy, offering fast scheduling, free evaluations, and quick results.

All three hold master's degrees and are Board Certified Behavior Analysts. The company's goal is to provide the best possible treatment for children and adults who present deficits to adapt to the demands of the school, home, and other social settings, so that they can work on skills that will help them become more independent and successful. Understanding how behavior works in real situations, we aim to increase behaviors that are helpful and adaptive and decrease those that might be hurtful or affect learning. Through carefully constructed individual treatment plans, all clients may show substantial progress in important characteristics of the disorder.

Led by Dr. Penelope Johnson, a BCBA with over 20 years of experience and ADOS-2 examiner credentials, along with María Zambrano, a BCBA with 15+ years in the field. The program mixes highly structured teaching with more flexible, naturalistic learning environments—parents often appreciate this balance. They continuously track each child's progress and adjust programs as needed.
