Spanish immersion Speech therapy Public school

Greenacres Elementary School hosts the International Spanish Academy, a two-way Spanish immersion program run through a collaborative agreement with Spain's Ministry of Education. Students in the program receive classroom instruction in both English and Spanish and study the language, history and culture of Spanish-speaking countries. As an in-house program it is open to children who live within our attendance boundary, and students applying after first grade may need a qualifying score on a language assessment. We are a Title I public elementary school in the School District of Palm Beach County, with the motto "Educate. Affirm. Inspire." School counselors support students' academic, career and social-emotional goals, and a schoolwide positive behavior plan sets shared expectations. Our media center carries print books plus digital collections including PebbleGo, TumbleBooks and the Capstone Interactive Library. Children can stay on campus for an after-school program with its own director, and clubs give them plenty of choices: Garden, Basketball, Soccer, Yoga, Art, Running, Multicultural, SECME and Yearbook clubs, plus the student-produced WOOF News. Meals are provided through district School Food Service.
