The Pinnacle School

Aspire Living & Learning Academy is a recognized and approved private special education school in Connecticut with a location at 5 Riverbend Drive in Stamford. It provides specialized educational services for students in kindergarten through 12th grade who have a range of disabilities including autism, emotional disabilities, ADHD, and intellectual disabilities. The school accepts referrals from Connecticut school districts as well as from parents and guardians. For many students the time at the academy is a temporary placement focused on gaining academic, social, and behavioral skills to return to public school classrooms. For others it serves as a longer-term foundation building vocational and life skills. The program uses principles of Applied Behavior Analysis with careful assessment and data-based instruction aligned to each student's IEP. In addition the academy offers specialized transitional services for young adults ages 18-22 focused on career development, employment preparation, and community involvement. The Stamford site is one of three academy locations and is approved by the Connecticut Department of Education to serve ages 5 through 22 with a capacity of 35 students at this campus.

For others, it serves as a longer-term foundation for vocational and life skills development. In addition, the organization offers a standalone transition program for young adults ages 18-22 focused on employment preparation, community involvement, and independent living skills through individualized instruction and work experiences.
