Ivybrook Academy Parker is a private, half-day preschool on Twenty Mile Road for children from 18 months through six years old. Our classes follow age groups: a toddler program, then classes for 2-year-olds, 3-year-olds, and 4- and 5-year-olds, where the focus turns to kindergarten readiness. Families come to us from Parker, Centennial and Aurora. The curriculum blends Montessori, Reggio Emilia and Howard Gardner's Theory of Multiple Intelligences, paired with ongoing individual assessment, so lessons adjust to each child's strengths. Days include early literacy, math, science, social studies, art, music and movement, with outdoor exploration and gardening for older students. Classrooms use neutral colors, natural materials and child-level displays, and our lead educators hold degrees in education-related fields. The campus is peanut and tree nut free, and we provide snacks such as fruit, crackers and cheese. Entrances use keycard access, and pickup is verified electronically. When the school year ends, we run a themed half-day summer camp for the two months our regular programs are closed. Parents can join classroom activities and our Parent Teacher Committee, and we hold regular parent-teacher conferences.
