About The Liberty School
The Liberty School in Durango serves students with dyslexia and gifted students with learning differences in grades one through eight. We are an independent school with about 30 students, combining classroom teaching with one-to-one structured literacy tutoring.
Our nine-acre campus has woods, a creek and trails that we use as an outdoor classroom. The school building includes three classrooms, ten individual tutoring rooms and a multipurpose space for physical activity and other school work. Visual and performing arts are part of school life. Liberty opened in 2007, and we moved into our current building in 2018.
