Beyond Montessori School in Dublin, California, is dedicated to fostering a nurturing and enriching environment for preschool children, particularly those with diverse learning needs. With a mission rooted in the principles of Dr. Maria Montessori, the school serves children ages 2 to 6 and specializes in supporting students with language-based learning disabilities and those who are twice-exceptional. The curriculum is thoughtfully designed to incorporate a trilingual immersion program that includes 40% Chinese, 40% English, and 20% Spanish, allowing children to develop essential language skills while engaging in practical, mathematical, sensory, musical, and cultural activities. Beyond Montessori stands out through its commitment to a low student-teacher ratio, ensuring personalized attention and fostering strong partnerships with families. This collaborative approach not only enhances the learning experience but also cultivates a sense of community among students and their families. Our inclusive preschool grew out of Happy Talkers, a speech therapy practice our founder started from her Pleasanton home in 2001. In 2008 we added early childhood education to the clinical work, and in 2011 we opened a purpose-built center in Dublin in partnership with the city. Children with and without disabilities share the same classrooms by design. Each class has 13 to 17 children and three educators, and children stay with their classroom group all year. Our curriculum is ESDM-aligned and uses DRDP standards, Handwriting Without Tears, Zoo-phonics and Zones of Regulation to build kindergarten readiness. Preschoolers can receive speech, occupational and behavioral support on site, and therapists coordinate directly with teachers on each child's plan. Through Happy Talkers we also provide BCBA-supervised ABA for ages 2 to 5, infant development services and a Friendship Club social skills group. We accept most major commercial insurance, are vendorized with the Regional Center of the East Bay, and offer limited scholarships. School of Imagination is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.

At The Quarry Lane School’s Dublin East campus, students in grades 2–12 take part in a broad academic program. Teachers pair classroom learning with projects, debates, small-group discussions, and presentations, and continue supporting students beyond class time. Families are active partners in the school community.
