About Cabot Junior High School North
Cabot Junior High North on Spirit Drive serves seventh and eighth graders in the Cabot School District, and our students are Panthers. Two school counselors split the student body alphabetically and give personal, social, academic and career guidance, and our Academic Acceleration period gives students extra work time while core teachers pull in anyone who needs more help.
Electives are where students find their interests. Engineering and Technology Education has students building CO2 dragsters, rockets, robots, electronics and balsa truss structures in a hands-on shop. Students can take forensics, debate and theater, then audition for our JV forensics and debate teams that compete at tournaments across the state. Visual Art I and II cover drawing, painting, clay, mask making and photography.
Our choir performs concerts, takes part in All Region auditions and ends the year with a trip to Magic Springs. Seventh grade band students learn in classes grouped by instrument, and eighth graders form one combined band to get ready for the Cabot High School program. Students also play junior high athletics and join clubs, and the district runs a Gifted and Talented program for junior high students.

Cabot Christian School
Cabot Christian School is dedicated to fostering a nurturing environment where students are guided by biblical teachings and empowered to become servant leaders. With a core mission centered on spiritual growth and personal development, the school serves children from age five and above, including those facing challenges such as language-based learning disabilities. The institution prides itself on maintaining a low student-to-teacher ratio, ensuring that each child receives personalized attention tailored to their unique needs. Key programs incorporate therapeutic methodologies that support academic and emotional growth, while the school community actively engages families in the educational journey. What sets Cabot Christian School apart is its commitment to holistic development, combining strong academic standards with character-building initiatives and community events that enrich the student experience. This approach not only cultivates a love for learning but also prepares students to navigate life's challenges with resilience and faith.
Cabot Freshman Academy
Cabot Freshman Academy is a ninth grade only campus for the Cabot School District, built to help every incoming freshman make a strong start before moving on to Cabot High School. Since our doors opened in 2014, students have spent their freshman year with a dedicated set of teachers in a smaller, more personal learning community. Our building on Spirit Drive sits beside the district's baseball and softball complex. Freshmen take core academics along with full programming in the arts, band, athletics and career and technical electives, and gifted and talented services continue from junior high through our academy. Our counseling center supports course planning and the move into high school, and early intervention helps students who are falling behind on credits or attendance. Gus, our educational assistance service dog, is part of campus life. Students can join clubs, theatre productions and Panther athletics. The district offers an English learner program, free breakfast, school meals and bus service with text alerts for families.
Cabot Public Schools
Speech and language therapy, occupational and physical therapy, psychoeducational testing and specialized transportation form part of Cabot Public Schools' Special Programs services. We coordinate these supports with instruction, planning around a free public education in the least restrictive environment for students with different learning and access needs. Students with hearing or visual impairments can receive specialized instruction or interpreter support. We also provide an alternative learning environment for behavioral needs and instruction for students who require a homebound setting. These options give the district ways to address educational needs that require different services or settings from the regular classroom program. Our schools serve children from early childhood through high school. Across those years, academic options include gifted and advanced placement programs, English learner support, career and technical education and alternative learning pathways. Families can use our school and staff resources to understand the choices within the district. Registration guidance, calendars and health information help families plan school participation. We also provide resources for military-connected families. Our classroom work and these practical supports share the goals of helping students learn, respect others and prepare for life beyond school.
