Ability Academy

Ability Academy is a private K-12 school in Apache Junction, Arizona, for students who need more support than a typical mainstream classroom. Programming pairs academics with daily living skills and uses an applied behavior analysis lens for planning, including elements such as early intervention supports, behavior intervention, functional communication training, and social and life-skills instruction when appropriate.

The day runs from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with task-based learning, short whole-group lessons, community-based outings, and rotating small-group stations. Specials cover STEAM themes, arts, music and dance, cooking, physical education, and community awareness activities. The school is an Arizona ESA-approved provider and can discuss evaluations, IEP documentation, and related therapies during enrollment.
