About Melva Davis Academy

Melva Davis Academy of Excellence, home of the Titans, is a middle school for grades 6 to 8 in the Adelanto Elementary School District and a member of California's Schools to Watch program.

Science students take Project Lead The Way courses, students study Spanish, and our arts staff runs band and orchestra, choir and visual art. Students build reading and math skills with tools such as Lexia Reading Core5, STEMscopes and Renaissance.

We offer special education on campus through two Resource Specialist Program (RSP) teachers and six special day class (SDC) teachers. Two school counselors, a librarian and a health office support students, and the district runs a Student and Family Wellness Center and mental health services. Students wear uniforms, all sports are open to boys and girls, and district transportation serves our families.
