Clever Minds Learning Center, established in June 2004 in Truckee, California, is dedicated to empowering students from kindergarten through 12th grade, particularly those facing challenges such as language-based learning disabilities and executive functioning difficulties. The school’s core mission is to provide individualized academic support in subjects like Math, Language Arts, Reading, and Writing, along with specialized services such as ISHEE test preparation and college application assistance. Clever Minds employs a team of experienced and credentialed teachers who are committed to fostering a positive and safe learning environment that enhances self-confidence and academic success. Truckee Leaders Academy, formerly Imagine Nation Academy, is a K-8 microschool in Glenshire, Truckee, taught as one class of fewer than 8 students. We changed our name to match who our students have become: young authors, artists, engineers and leaders. Our students run a real business. From the Truckee Slime Café to market day, they build, price, sell and earn a profit. Cooking, budgeting, making and fixing are taught hands-on, and our outdoor classroom is the mountain environment we call home, where reading under the trees is part of the week. Our founder is a neurodivergent educator who has taught every elementary grade and started a STEM program, Science Adventures, in 2007, and her love of geology, plants and animals runs through our science. Families who want a homeschool-style option without teaching full-time find a curious, values-driven classroom here. We also offer seasonal camps and one-on-one tutoring.

Lety's Preschool & Immersion Program, located in the Truckee North Lake Tahoe area, has been a cornerstone of early childhood education for over 25 years, catering to children aged 2 to 5. This licensed, family-operated childcare provider focuses on creating a nurturing and inclusive environment that supports diverse learning needs. The program offers a full-day experience filled with engaging, theme-based activities designed to foster language development and cognitive growth, particularly emphasizing Spanish fluency through its full immersion approach. With a maximum of twelve children per classroom, Lety's ensures personalized attention and a low student-teacher ratio, allowing for meaningful interactions and tailored learning experiences. The dedicated bilingual staff is committed to not only educating but also partnering with families to create a supportive community that celebrates each child's unique journey.
