Transition Education Center

The Transition Education Center (TEC) is a dedicated learning environment designed to support students with unique educational needs, particularly those aged 14 to 21 who may experience language-based learning disabilities or are classified as twice-exceptional. The core mission of TEC is to empower these students through tailored educational programs that foster independence and prepare them for post-secondary success. TEC offers four specialized programs: Transition Plus, which focuses on life skills; Transition and Post-Secondary Preparation (TAPP), aimed at facilitating a smooth transition to adulthood; Accountability with Academics and Restorative Education (AWARE), which emphasizes academic responsibility and personal growth; and Project SEARCH, a unique internship program that provides real-world work experiences.
